On 2 December 2021,the UAE celebrated its 50th anniversary with a spectacular show at Hatta dam in the Hajhir mountains. Highlighting the deep connection between people nature and technology. A magnificent work full of scientific and technological sense that combines advanced engineering technology, intelligent lighting, top fireworks show and other elements is born! Present the UAE’s history, present, and future with unique creative and artistic stories.

The UAE’s 50^th national day break the boundaries of the imagination.

Three international creative executive producers and artistic directors Rawdha Al Qubaisi, Shaikha Al Ketbi and designer Es Devlin have co-curated this top-notch visual feast!

This time, the designers used an unprecedented idea to create a giant floating mechanical stage in a natural landscape. The performance is centered on a 19-meter-high disc-shaped rotating sculpture in the center of the water. The disc sculpture has a mountain slope and a round face of water. The simple appearance and clean lines reflect the natural landscape and more solemn.

The whole show is floating, the audience is floating, the stage is floating, and the lights are floating. Everything was hidden until the night came, after activating the “On” button, it would appear beautifully.

The designers breaks the constrains of space and designed the ever-changing giant stage floating in the middle of the water, which can be used as two different functions of the performance area and the projection surface. Here, each luminaire has its own unique mission. By using the DMX512 decoder from Sunricher, the ultimate dimming and colorful lighting effects in different areas are realized, creating a sense of atmosphere with multiple scenes such as dazzling, bright, solemn and vibrant.

The stage shows the natural scene, humanistic scene, the scientific and technological scene....One after another, each scene is full of high-tech sense. It used the DMX512/RDM decoder, ultra-high frequency up to 35KHz, whose optical parameters meet the requirements of top festivals and high-definition broadcasting!

As the stage of this grand ceremony, the disc sculpture is a picture of the history, present and future of the UAE, where music, language, people, lighting, projection, and fireworks are connected, and every point of light and dark interlacing changes.
